The year comes to a close!

Hello Everyone,

It is sad to think that over the last few months I have been so busy that I have been unable to keep my blog, website and twitter accounts going.

As we see the end of another epic year both personally and commercially, I look forward to my 9th year as Capemedia UK and my first anniversary as a limited company in February.

A massive year of establishing, learning's, failings and understandings.  I now have a little time to look at where I am and where Capemedia is going to go.

The first thing I need to dedicate time to is keeping everyone who follows me up to date with the world of Capemedia, so I'm making myself a pledge to do an update once a month.  On twitter, on Facebook, this blog or my website.

The website has finally been updated and I've added a list of all my Films, sadly not all can be viewed just yet but I'm getting there.  Also on the "About" page I have added the many satisfied clients I have worked for or still in the process of working for.

Regarding projects I have a brand new idea which I have already been working on.  I was going to go for funding but maybe that's a little premature at this stage and I need to prove concept.  So my next project will be a short test piece called "United Alliance"

An existing idea that will test my capabilities but also that of the characters involved.

On closing I would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and prosperous New Year and hope that 2014 is bigger and better then 2013.

Take Care

Busy busy busy Summer

Hello All,

NEWS

Well it looks like the Great British Summer is upon us and the sun is shining, which is nice but not for spending time in a studio.  Unfortunately a studio is where the Capemedia UK magic happens.

"So what has been happening" I hear you ask?

Well "Score Variations" was released on the 22nd May 2013, which I am so pleased about.  This is only the first piece of a larger product, but I needed to make a start.

I also spent the time and money upgrading my main studio PC, so that is had a faster processor, more memory but more importantly I went 64bit, with Windows 7.

The hardware change took a few days but the software has still not all been installed yet, this takes a long time as I have that much.  I just wish I was in a situation where I employed someone to do it all, maybe one day?  I now need to upgrade my everyday PC, but that can wait.

My client work is my main focus and most of the time in the studio is doing this, so my creative work has been put on hold.  Simple formula really - Creative work = Fun / Client work = Money.

After all these years I have to be lucky that someone wants to pay me to use my talents.

PROJECTS

Possibly the next project I do will have to be my product "Score Variations" and the next release.  I'm looking at producing some Epic and Film style music for this one, so watch this space.

Animation shorts and films are currently all on hold as I don't have the time, however I do have an idea and I'd love to have something available for the end of the year but we will have to see.

More news next month.

Thanks for reading and please subscribe.

Regards

Colin.

May the Force

Hello All,

Well another month has whizzed by and we are now in my birthday month, which is 2 days after Star Wars day the 4th.  They say the 6th is, Revenge of the 6th Day, but to me no revenge just a day with the family.

Anyhow back to Capemedia UK.

As usual I have been very busy, but to my annoyance my first product has not been made available on Reallusion's Content Store, they did tell me it would be a few weeks but this was uploaded on the 7th April.  So not happy there.

My other client work has gone really well and I'm now working every week on them, just waiting for the money to start rolling in now.

This last week I rebuilt my main Studio PC, moving to Windows 7 64bit, with a fast 6 core processors and mighty graphics card, my God can I tell the difference.

The long process of installing over 40 pieces of software has begun, but the main work horse pieces are on.

So there we are, more news next time.

Thanks for reading and please subscribe.

Regards

Colin.

April is bustin' out all over.

Hello Everyone,

Yeah I know it's "June is bustin' out all over", but for Capemedia UK Limited so much has been going on and April is just blooming.

The website has new things coming on the next update, but one of the most exciting things is my first product under a limited company.

Currently being assessed, but I'm hoping it will be available soon.  This should be on the Reallusion Content Store very soon and available on our website www.capemediauk.com

The first volume is Action Themes and has 3 themes included:-
  • "Covert"
  • "Eastern Mission"
  • "Crime Investigation"
Music scores for film and video is fundamental to the production of any project.  There a numerous different options available to directors and producers, but “Score Variations” by Capemedia UK Limited offers something different.

Each theme pack is based on a familiar premise, Action, Epic, Horror etc. and is designed to give you the tools so you can design the music for your project.

Each theme volume will come with a number of themed songs; within each themed song you will get a number of different mixes.  You will of course get the original full length song but also the shorter alternative mixes.

In other news

The work I have for my America client will begin very soon and I am in contract talks with a UK based client.

Really exciting times.

Thanks for reading

Regards

New Beginnings

Hello Everyone,

So after many weeks of building my website I have now created a brand new blog using Blogger.

Learning HTML, CSS, Java Script, trying to understand PHP etc. has been a major challenge but it looks like I'm making some progress.

To make matters even more exciting I have now a Facebook page:-

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Capemedia-UK-Limited/144680975616648

A Twitter account:-

@capemediaL

So many things that I've been spinning.

Also we became an official Limited Company on the 21st February 2013.  For me this was a major day and hopefully a day that I will look back as a massive step for me and family.

Any how that's enough for me now, need to get this on my website.

Thanks for visiting.

Kind Regards

Colin.
